I’ve always been drawn to the small, quiet things… the injured birds I insisted on rescuing, the discarded objects I turned into treasures, the stories I dreamed up while staring out the classroom window. I was imaginative, easily swept into my own worlds, and happiest when I was creating rather than sitting still behind a desk.
That pull toward creativity, connection, and hands-on learning led me to study Sociology and earn a Master’s in Leadership for Sustainability Education. Along the way, I traveled, farm-hopped, and taught in classrooms and school gardens, always gravitating toward spaces where kids could learn by exploring, doing, and thinking for themselves.
Busy Bees grew from a simple idea: to create a joyful, hands-on space for kids who thrive when they can move, make, notice, and imagine — and for all kids who benefit from slowing down and getting messy.
Today, I design experiences that spark confidence and wonder. Whether we’re mixing dough, crafting bee crowns, or wandering outside with handmade binoculars, I believe childhood should be full of discovery, creativity, and those everyday moments that feel a little bit like magic.
